The sun shone and we had an extra hour - goodbye daylight saving - so we used the time wisely by experiencing the Canberra Disrict wine harvest festival.
We headed north to Lake George, aiming to start with Lerida Estate for lunch. Luckily we scored one of the few free outdoor tables, and enjoyed a tasting platter and rabbit, pistachio and cranberry terrine. Definitely saving room for dessert next time. Winewise, I quite liked the unwooded chardonnay I had with lunch, and we also purchased some merlot cabinet franc.

After lunch we took Marked Tree Road - gravel but top views - to travel back to Gundaroo to Capital Wines.
On the return journey to Canberra we tried Gun Dog and Tallagandra Estates.
Driving down the Federal Highway we noticed ...Stonehenge! We passed too quickly to take a pic but there are some here.
