March has been busy with guests, weekends away, settling (or not) into a new job, and various other amusements. This weekend has been a glorious celebration of slothfulness, except for a walk this afternoon in the parliamentary zone. Not to be confused with the twilight zone, this is the area in Canberra where many of the main political and cultural institutions can be found. It's also surprisingly good for walking around and seeing gardens, bush and getting a different angle on familiar buildings.

What else has been happening? Last week I was hoping to capture some of the balloon spectacular taking place in Canberra. Driving to work each day I saw 6 to 9 balloons in the air most mornings. However, the spectacular take off takes place spectacularly early, and even at 7.45am on the last day I was only in time to take a pic of a sagging Matilda. Which looked really bizarre.
