So we are on our way to Canberra...Not exactly where we expected our lives/ careers to take us, but you get that.
M is starting in a few weeks. Having time and the technology, we decided to drive the scenic route to the National Capital. We spent the first night in Burra at the Burra Motor Inn. The best thing you can say about the Burra Motor Inn is that the ducks were amusing.
Catholic Church, Burra. |
The Catholic establishment may not get anything else, but they do understand real estate.
From Burra we travelled to Mildura. On the way, near the fruit quarantine bin just before Morgan, we passed the shoe tree. Don't know why...
We've always wanted to dine at Stefano's and so had made a booking for Tuesday night. My sister laughs as when she lived there Stefano's was a largely unknown little cafe. Now it is Very Serious Food. Luckily it lived up to expectations. We also dined at Stefano's bakery and cafe for breakfast, which was also amazing (but less expensive).
Having given Stefano most of our remaining money, we left Burra for Leeton.
