I love a bit of controversial art, so it was a thrill to experience the Skywhale this morning. A thing of ugly beauty, rustling silk and roaring flames, generating a laughing crowd and comments about those magnificent multiple mammaries. The experience was followed by a fab breakfast at The Museum Cafe, a great way to start a frosty Sunday in the National Capital.
It's so warm in Canberra this weekend - excellent for our visitor. But I was so disappointed that we missed the sky whale launch this morning - plenty of misinformation about what was happening when - but I hope to see it for myself soon. Release your inner sky whale!

We took a trip to the arboretum and then Mount Stromlo - the weather was perfect!
